I have a bunch of ctf files (containing a huge amount of files) from arcserve which were created using arcserve backup and linux agent. I imagine I need three jobs with custom schedules, doing the Granfather, Father and Son jobs each to their own FSD. I suppose that would be the same as creating a media rotation scheme with three FSDs. I think ARCserve is much less intuitive than Backup Exec, then I've had years of experience with BE. Why is backup so complex anyway? It's just copying files from one place to another on a schedule, surely?

ArcServe was completely removed from the environment years ago before I started working here. Now I have a user that brought me the USB drive with the CTF files on it and wants to see if there is some Windows data on the drive. I do have a copy of ArcServe r15 that I just installed to a Windows 2008 VM that I whipped up for just a purpose. However, I cannot seem to mount the drive so that ArcServe can read the contents. I tired to go into Manager>Device> and create a new drive in there but it keeps saying that the USB drive (letter I:) is an invalid location.
