Well I've managed to hack the file and find out where this is done. I've tested this and it works, if you want to change unit positions then you should have the Civ3 editor up and running with the map you are playing on ( THIS WILL ONLY WORK WITH PREMADE MAPS ), when you select each unit it'll tell you what civ if belongs to, you can even move the barbarian units.

1.00.0001 - Bug with loading of BIX version 11.10 with maps corrected. - SGE: 'File Not found' error on SGE load where Civilization3.ini is missing while ptw is installed (i.e never run Civ3 but have run PTW) corrected. 1.01 - SGE: Added option to update unit sight on save (defaults to on). - SGE: Added command button to Map tab for update of unit sight if the auto-update is disabled. - SGE: Now recalculates the number of cities for each continent and writes the correct data for that into the save. - SGE: Optimized recount functions for units and buildings.

I also looking for where the money value is stored. I solved this my having the starting positions of each civ units moved to the Antartic (which I cleverly created).I started the game up as the english (cos I want to play them), saved it and did the editing. Problems.basically the lack of ease in customising things between games and you can't just change civ. What I provide is thus the English civ at two difficulty levels with real world map (by satyajedi).on the monarch difficulty load up the save game and press 'b' to found london.the map will then show up. On the monarch version I eliminated the 2 barbarian warrior invasion as it may catch too many people out.on diety you can take them on (just build a warrior as fast as possible and then attack the barbarians when the are close to london.I never advice defending versus barbarians you get 'ambushed' and usually lose ) FIRST FILE: monarch difficulty.english on real world map. P.S you load these files as a saved game AFTER you have extracted the save game file by using winzip!!!

Well I think it's time for a Save Game Editor. Some one asked to be able to change unit positions in the save game file so that they could have correct starting positions on the map. I'll look into being able to add units to the file, maybe this could then be used to create scenarios or some thing You can also edit the year of a save game file. Putting in silly vaules for positions will be your fault, there is no error checking of what is entered. If any one wants any other features then just let me know.

I've not yet found the section in the Sav file which indicates which area of the map is uncovered. I also looking for where the money value is stored. I solved this my having the starting positions of each civ units moved to the Antartic (which I cleverly created).I started the game up as the english (cos I want to play them), saved it and did the editing. It also happends whether i try to 'browse' through all my cities using the arrows in the city management screen. If i perform the changes without using batch edit an it takes ages) everything goes fine afterwards. All this does not happen when i switch back to version 1.03 and redo the same changes using batch edit. Tell me whether you need me to send you any file.

- Additional trainer information: When game trainers first started appearing they consisted of only a few Bytes of data, this gradually grew to a few KB and then a few hundred KB as the trainer GUI became more visually appealing and trainer makers incorporated images into the trainers GUI. However, in recent years game trainer sizes have increased into several MB of size and people are not often sure why such a small program is in the several MB of size, naturally people are suspicious of its contents believing something nasty is packed in there (which can happen if you download from a non-reputable site) the reason they are larger in size is because people began stealing other peoples trainer contents and repacking it as their own, so trainer makers started using DRM to protect their work and prevent trainer theft.

Here is my quandry: I am 57.dont play MP or PBEM only sp I would like to start a massive game.as game unfolds place terrain for AI to expand to later in game.however cannot find anywhere this is possible? If you or anyone else knows, sans insults.please share. NOTE: You have not insulted however noticed a few asking questions over the years and someone responds 'Hey look how old thread is.go to end *&^%$# Many here love playing this game and are simply seeking assistance. Regards Gramps. You open Civ3MultiTool, you open the SaveGame Modifier and then you load a savegame, maybe '/Civilization III/Conquests/Saves/test.SAV'. You go into the Map tab, choose export and a file to export it into, maybe '/Civilization III/Conquests/Scenarios/test.biq'.

Using the these features, Civilization III mod makers can accelerate a game quickly to any age to test their custom units etc. Players can alter their games (beyond just the normal 1,000,000 gold cheat), such as limiting the computer civilizations from building nuclear weapons (ICBMs and tactical nukes on the suppress production list) for keeping warfare strictly conventional.
