I've got to find it and waste some time. It's costing me money too. I have to pay somebody to come help me file all these papers. When I call Neat, most of the time, I talk to someone from the Philippines and they're far away. I sat all day for a guy to come in to my computer, change over from the old system and put all my files in the new stuff. It took all day for so many days. Then when it was done, the name was not the same.

It’s to the point that if I could find something that I didn’t have to do so many workarounds and it would do what Neat does, I would move to that almost immediately. In addition to that, I just received the up-pricing from Neat and I had to subscribe for another year to a higher price. I’m paying more money, but I don’t have something that is working the way it should work. I like the convenience and I like what Neat does, but if there’s another program that will work better with what I already have, then I’ll jump ship.

I tried to use my WebMail from Godaddy and it did NOT work using the smtp credentials I use to login with this email, BUT, I was able to send to my Gmail, ONLY AFTER receiving an email from Gmail that they had blocked an attempt from a 'Less secure app', with a link to allow access to less secure apps. So when you initially try to setup Gmail on the NeatConnect Scanner you will get a connection error, just go to your Gmail email and click the link 'allowing access to less secure apps', then try again and it will work!! Way to much data entry for a software that is supposed to scan in the data and read it and then assign. Not intuitive enough. The customer support is really lacking and the online knowledge base is almost non existant. Overall: sanned in a lot of files, but couldn't use them as expected once in the neat system.

It could be a software upgrade to the underlying server and all the affected services are using the same server OS and got some sort of upgrade at about the same time causing headaches for everyone. With everything interconnected it can be hard to track down. This is a very astute conclusion, and yes, there has been little to report. Which either means they can't figure it out, or it isn't top priority. At this point, being that this is being posted on the Evernote page, I have a gut feeling that this problem resides within the scanner as it makes little sense that multiple services are suddenly not willing to accept the devices scans.
